Morning Six Pack: March 11, 2013

Oh. Monday. Well, at least we can start off right with these six college football stories from around the country.

Gators Spring Preview: Special Teams

If there was one position Gators coach Will Muschamp lost little sleep over in his first two seasons, it was kicker. Muschamp has Caleb Sturgis to thank for that.

Breaking down the offensive line as Alabama prepares for spring practice

It's the fifth of nine positional previews as Alabama prepares for spring football, which starts Saturday.

QB battle is on at UT: Worley, Peterman get shot to impress in spring work

The race is under way.

Cal football not set at quarterback

Quarterbacks Jared Goff, Zach Kline and Austin Hinder played in that order at Cal's first spring scrimmage, but new coach Sonny Dykes said it didn't necessarily reflect the order of the team's upcoming depth chart.

Huskies' Seferian-Jenkins arrested

Seattle police say University of Washington standout tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence Saturday night.

Quotable:

The Sooners' recent recruiting efforts have produced as many highly publicized misses as hits. OU's classes, accustomed to top-10 finishes, ranked 15th according to Rivals this year, and 11th last.

More telling is the fact there are more players from the 2011 signing class who have left the program (nine) than who remain (eight).

Now, Stoops has tapped into the rich-getting-richer SEC to take Boulware from Auburn. Any ideas Boulware brings after being around that block the past three years can't hurt.

"Recruiting is definitely a little different deal. It's a lot faster, I think, in the SEC," he said. "There are some teams in this league that are trying to emulate that."
