No one loved the game of college football more than Beano Cook. And perhaps no one gave more memorable interviews, more memorable quotes or more bold predictions than Beano.
Here’s arguably his most famous prediction from 1993.
The parallels between then and now are eerie. Alabama was the defending national champion. Notre Dame was a powerhouse program seeking another title run. Today, Alabama is again the defending champ. Notre Dame is 5-0 and in the title chase. And the Irish have a legitimate Heisman candidate on its team.
