Banner threatens to remove Paterno statue

The message was flown Tuesday morning seeking to have Penn State remove the statue honoring its late football coach.

Penn State officials have reportedly beefed up security around the area of Beaver Stadium to prevent just such an act, but there’s some serious coin being spent on sending this message.

Following the release of the Freeh Report—which went into considerable detail to describe how the late coach Joe Paterno was involved in a criminal conspiracy to cover up a former assistants abuse of children—it appears that Paterno’s family and supporters have run out of good will.
