In a statement from the White House, teh One has announced that he will host an Iftar meal this evening to break his daily fast—the fast observed by Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan. Quoting from the release:
“And here in the United States, Ramadan is a reminder that Islam has always been part of America and that American Muslims have made extraordinary contributions to our country.”No, Islam has not always been a part of America. If it has, I would like Barack ibn Jackal Obama al-Presidenti to identify which one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence did the Ramadan thang. Or, perhaps he could identify who among the participants in the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia broke his fast with the iftar.
