Police follow signs, raid drug house, arrest dumb dealers

From the You Can't Make This Up Dept comes this story of stupid criminals.

A local TV station went on a ride along for a drug raid and they didn't have to work hard to locate the knuckleheads.

All they had to do was follow the sign to the last house on the left.

This is real, y'all.

Eyewitnesses relate accounts of Tuscaloosa shooting and immediate aftermath

Via the Crimson White, perhaps the best report yet on the shooting outside a Tuscaloosa bar in the early morning hours of July 17. Reporters Will Tucker and Ashley Chaffin interviewed key eyewitnesses to the shooting itself, getting information on the number and extent of injuries they saw personally.

Ryne Chandler, a trained Emergency Medical Technician, was at 1831—next door to Copper Top on Temerson Square—when he heard the gunshots.

“I heard the shots, and then one girl came [into 1831] limping, another guy came in and fell right to the floor with a gunshot wound to the back,” Chandler said. “I’m an EMT, so we checked him out, made sure he was still breathing…outside Copper Top, there were two or three girls with graze wounds. Then someone said that someone was bleeding in the back of Copper Top. They had someone in the back, and he had one or two shots in the leg…I spent 10 or 15 minutes treating him. [When I arrived] they had a tourniquet on his leg…there was an ungodly amount of blood.”

“TPD was on the scene real quick. They did a good job…as soon as I told them I was an EMT they let me take over and treat people,” he said.

“The girls that were shot, it was mostly into the lower ankles, and that’s what makes me say buckshot…it looked like they had been hit with BB’s. Small entry wounds, small exit wounds,” he said.

“One of the wounds I saw was probably a quarter- to half-inch around. That was probably the most serious. The shot in the back took out a half-inch gash but didn’t penetrate into the abdomen,” he said.

Police arrest “career criminal” in Mobile mob assault case

Mobile Police arrested a man they described as a “career criminal” in the assault of a man by an angry mob of people last Saturday. Arrested and charged with first degree assault and third degree burglary was Terry Bernard Rawls.

In earlier reports, officials and neighbors indicated that Rawls and the assault victim Matthew Owens had a long-running dispute. Officials also revealed that the victim had several run-ins with law enforcement, including charges of assault.

An address search shows that Rawls lives on the same street as the victim.

A mob of about 20 people were witnessed beating Owens after Owens had attempted to run off a group of kids playing basketball in the street in front of his home. The kids left, but shortly afterwards a large group of adults cornered Owens and allegedly beat him with chairs, paint cans and pipes. Owens was hospitalized in critical condition.

Witnesses told news reporters that one of the assailants said “that’s justice for Trayvon,” the young black male who was shot by a hispanic volunteer community watch worker last February, touching off a wave of national racial unrest.

The Mobile County District Attorney has not said how many people they expect to be charged, but indicated that other warrants were being prepared and/or investigated.

Video: Cold blooded murder, caught on camera

Via WKRG TV. Police in Prichard, Alabama released the surveillance video below in which a man runs up and shoots 25-year-old Andre Manassa at a gas station. The shooting occurred Monday evening.

Manassa was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Police are looking for 29-year-old Travis Griggs in connection with the shooting. At this point he's only being called a person of interest.

Travis Griggs has an extensive criminal history. He is considered armed and dangerous.
