Forgive me a curmudgeonly moment here, but television sit-coms are an absolute joke compared to the Andy Griffith show and the myriad of 30 minute episodes of TV greatness that followed. Shows like F Troop, Hogan’s Heroes, Gomer Pyle and Gilligan’s Island are still two laughs a minute, while today’s “must watch TV” is a really good reason to watch tennis, PBS or HGTV.
