Jimbo Fisher is NOT a fan of the BCS computers

Jimbo Fisher perplexed by, angry about discrepancy in BCS computers

Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher has a message for his colleagues: they need to take a close look at the BCS computer rankings. Fisher did only recently and was shocked by what he saw.

"That's the first time I have ever really studied it," Fisher said Tuesday after practice. "I really started looking at it the last couple of weeks, and I think it's wrong. The formula is something we have to look at before we ruin a good game. As a coaching fraternity or whatever it is, it's a scary deal."

What bothers Fisher is the discrepancy between a team's rankings in the seven computer models factored into the BCS rankings. The Seminoles are ranked between Nos. 14 and 17 in four polls but unranked in two others. Those two polls that don't rank Florida State drop its average computer rating down to .29, which dramatically hurts its BCS standing.
