Two men have been arrested for providing false information to officials regarding the triple homicide in Auburn last weekend. Montgomery police have arrested Gabriel Thomas, 41, and are in the process of interrogating him. He is believed to have been in contact with prime suspect Desmonte Leonard, who is wanted on three counts of capital murder.Read the rest.
In a separate investigation, Auburn police have arrested Jeremy Thomas, 18, for hindering prosecution. Jeremy Thomas was one of the “persons of interest” identified by APD chief Tommy Dawson on Sunday.
Dawson said Monday that a second person of interest has made contact with police, though it’s unclear if that person is Gabriel Thomas or another individual.
Elsewhere, the Associated Press is reporting that the apartment complex where the deadly shooting took place was the scene of another incident of gunfire in April.
