Weis still receiving millions from Notre Dame
Read the rest here. It's been two years and three jobs since Charlie Weis was the coach of Notre Dame, but he's still receiving millions from the school as part of his buyout.
According to IRS documents obtained by the Chicago Tribune, Weis was paid $2,054,744 between July 2010 and June 2011.
After firing Weis following the 2009 season, the school made a payment of $6,638,403 to satisfy the terms of this 10-year contract extension signed during his first season in 2005 when the Irish went to the Fiesta Bowl.
It looks like Weis was the only one with a "decided schematic advantage" in that brief tenure in South Bend.
