Buzzer Beater of the Day

Yesterday, there were 16 games in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. Sadly, there were no buzzer beaters to make tournament highlights. The entire 12-hours-long field was as chalky as the Cliffs of Dover.

I watched almost all of it, and so did you. There wasn’t much to get excited about.

Well, there was 2011 Final Four contestant Virginia Commonwealth “knocking off” Wichita State, and a defending national champion (UConn) going down in the first round for the first time since 1994.

Other than that, it was a pretty vanilla first day. You need something more, don’t you?

Watch this shot from the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association quarterfinals, then.

The Lake County Falcons went on to beat the Booker T. Washington Warriors in overtime, 79-77, on thecampus of Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN.

Who said March Madness was boring?
