Rumors churning their way through the rumor mill over the past couple of weeks have officially come to fruition. Senior Miami safety Ray-Ray Armstrong is no longer part of the Miami football team, per a school release this morning.

InsidetheU.com reported Armstrong was perhaps on his way out a few weeks back, though details were sketchy and it was never confirmed.
Via CFT.

If you're wondering, Armstrong was indeed one of the players alleged to have gotten improper benefits from former booster Nevin Shapiro. But Armstrong's troubles with the team didn't stop there. Check the link to CFT for more details, but by most reasonable estimations this dismissal is addition by subtraction for coach Al Golden's Hurricanes.
