Craig James returning to TV?

LebowskiHeadShakeWhat a wonderful idea, right?

Fresh off his run for the US Senate, James says he’s not returning to ESPN this fall. That’s probably because the Worldwide Leader wants absolutely nothing to do with the man who landed the network in the middle of a nasty lawsuit from former Texas Tech and current Washington coach Mike Leach.

"There are a couple of networks that have called to see what I am willing to do," he said. "When I resigned in December, I went all in for politics, and I found out how many people enjoyed me as a broadcaster. James said. "They said they would miss me, and I said thank you.”

"I know that I am a communicator and have broadcasting skills that have taken me to the highest level.”

“I can do sports, but I have a political platform now. I have had folks reach out to me about that. I can talk about sports and turn my hat around and talk about what is happening with Iran, Israel, immigration, Medicare, Medicaid."

In a field of four in the Republican Primary, James finished dead last with 50,211 votes and  4% of the total cast.

Despite his conservative zeal, even Fox News is unlikely to take on a loser like that. Fercryinoutloud, the dude couldn’t get five dead hookers to vote for him.

Craig James’ Senate Run: Will Texas take one for the team?

imageCraig James is running for the US Senate and will run in the March Texas primary.

No, not the James Bond Craig James. The ESPN College Football Analyst Craig James. The one who couldn’t fill out an AP College Football Top 25 Poll any better than my 10-year old daughter.

The Craig James who hired a public relations firm to smear a head football coach that his son happened to play for. Adam James complained to daddy that then Texas Tech coach Mike Leach was a meanie and made him do things he didn’t want to do. Like workout with the team.

Like father, like son. The Craig James who passed out after a workout.

From the Dallas Morning News:

Former SMU standout Craig James will file his candidacy for the U.S. Senate by Thursday's deadline, according to sources close to his developing campaign.

James, an ESPN college football analyst, is hoping that his name recognition and fresh face makes him the alternative to Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst. Former Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert and former Solicitor General Ted Cruz are the other major contenders.

Fortunately, election law prevents him from being on the air while he is a candidate for federal office or while he is serving in any capacity.

Texas voters, please take one for the team, here. Swing your sword! The talk about “Constitution, Free Markets and American Exceptionalism” sounds good on the surface, but this blowhard has about as much business affecting US economic and foreign policy as he does voting in the AP Top 25. Which is none.

For the love of God and all that is good for Texas and this country, don’t let this guy get elected. Five Dead Hookers and Americans everywhere will thank you.

Craig James ranks Five Dead Hookers team higher than Boise State!

According to ESPN “analyst” Craig James, a team of Five Dead Hookers is playing better football than previously unbeaten Boise State, who lost their first game of the 2011 season to TCU, 36-35. The Broncos missed a game-winning field goal as time expired, sending them tumbling to No. 10 in the Week 12 BCS Standings.

James thinks Boise State is the No. 25 team in the country, one spot behind Conference-USA hopeful Southern Miss and three spots behind a three-loss Florida State! Oh, and Kansas State is the No. 10 team in the country?!?

Here is James’ ballot, courtesy of Pollspeak.com:
