To tell the truth, college coaches spin the rhetoric

Coaches always come with a message and the Truth Squad is here to decipher the spin.

Quotable:

Can a team win games with a (so far) turnover-prone quarterback, one consistent playmaker on offense and a defense that features a better-than-average defensive line?

Arkansas has a stretch coming up where those limited positives might be enough to eke out a win here and there. Auburn has one of the worst offenses in the country. Kentucky is, well, Kentucky. Ole Miss has improved under Hugh Freeze, but has almost as many moral victories as actual victories so far. Tulsa was scheduled on homecoming for a reason, right?.

This upcoming stretch features some winnable games. Arkansas could — if we’re being glass half-full people here  — get to a Nov. 10 meeting with South Carolina at 5-4.
