Alabama dominates Press-Register Super Southeast 120

image The Alabama Crimson Tide seeks to close out one of the best football recruiting classes in program history on National Signing Day, February 1. According to the Mobile Press-Register, it’s doing so in part by dominating recruiting in the fertile geography of Southeastern Conference territory, with 15 of the top 120 prospects in the region and three of the Top 10.

Alabama has commitments from the No. 3, No. 5, No. 8, No. 13, No. 18, No. 23, No. 25, No. 33, No. 41, No. 44, No. 48, No. 57, No. 93, No. 100 and No. 113. Topping the list is safety Landon Collins from Geismar, Louisiana. Alabama also has Daphne’s TJ Yeldon and is in the mix for the overall No. 1, Hueytown quarterback Jameis Winston.

Auburn is second with commitments from 10 of the SSE 120. Florida State and Miami are tied for third with nine apiece and Florida has eight so far. There are still 13 prospects yet to choose a school.

The states of Florida and Georgia combine for more than half of the total, with Florida home to 45 prospects and Georgia home to 23. Alabama and Louisiana have 13 each.

Yesterday, the Press-Register released its list of the top 18 prospects in the state of Alabama and not surprisingly, Alabama leads that list as well with seven commitments, including five of the Top 10,
