WVU: From burning couch to dumpster fire?

image When Dana Holgorsen was hired to become West Virginia’s new Offensive Coordinator and new official “Head Coach in Waiting,” it was clear that current Head Coach Bill Stewart was a dead coach walking.

It was only a matter of time for the gentleman (by ALL accounts) who took the program over when Rich Rodriguez fled for Michigan. Maybe. Maybe not.

National Football Post reveals some interesting rumors afoot regarding recent controversies surround the… ahem… colorful Holgo the Barbarian. Holgo was famously ousted by a West Virginia casino late last month after allegedly becoming belligerent and uncooperative. Reports indicated that significant amounts of alcohol were involved.

New information appears on the horizon regarding several other incidents where Holgo the Barbarian may have had a bit too much to drink. But even more Soapy Soap Opera stuff is out there, including a blogger’s allegation that the source of the information contained in the column linked just above was none other than Bill Stewart’s wife, Karen.

How ironic is it that this rumor begins to swirl just as West Virginia approves alcohol sales inside Milan Puskar Stadium, beginning this fall?

And, will this little couch fire of a rumor-swirl become an all-out, raging dumpster fire for the Mountaineers?

1. You are giving the impression, by your photo, that the dumpster fire shown in your blog is a fire in Morgantown. This cannot be the case, as Morgantown trash collection is provided by BFI and not Waste Management.

2. You have misspelled Dana Holgorsen's name. Very unprofessional.
