AuburnSports.com writer Jeffrey Lee has reportedly been suspended by the Rivals.com network.
A copy of an email was forwarded to IBCR which appears to confirm the move:
Similar reports appeared on social media late Friday afternoon.
Specifics are difficult to confirm, but the action appears to have come as a result of a sexually graphic response to a message board poster at the Auburn Rivals.com site.
Lee was the author of an April 2011 story containing bare allegations regarding the recruitment of eventual Alabama signee Brent Calloway. His accusations were subsequently proven false by compliance investigators.
AuburnSports.com’s premium message board, called The Bunker, has been the source of numerous attempts to entrap rival schools’ players in various alleged NCAA investigations, none of which have ever resulted in any credible evidence of wrongdoing.
