For a cool $1.25 million, you can own the private aircraft that’s been LSU Coach Les Miles favorite ride. On offer is a 1981 Lear 35A with a cargo door, Lifeport, Tail Locker, both medical and executive Interiors. It has low total time, no damage history, and complete original logbooks.
This plane is actually owned by Acadian Ambulance and has been leased to various clients, including the LSU athletic department. So yeah, this really is the jet that Miles, LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva and other LSU executives have used to make important business and recruiting trips.
It’s fairly common for an owner-but-infrequent-flyer of an expensive aircraft like this to lease it out for charter service. Many colleges and businesses actually save money over commercial flight by chartering private aircraft like this one.
Anyway, check it out.
A few more photos at the link showing the cargo and medical features and a complete rundown of the aircraft’s amenities.
In all likelihood, this plane was also used by former LSU and current Alabama coach Nick Saban.
