Mississippi State reports NCAA violations

MSU self-reports violations

Published on clarionledger | shared via feedly

MSU reported violations, which appear to be minor in nature, to the Southeastern Conference and NCAA in November. The school cited case precedence in its letters to the NCAA asking for the recruits' eligibility to be reinstated. The recruits' names were withheld in the documents.

MSU says one recruit made contact with former MSU defensive end Pernell McPhee on the field prior to the Bulldogs' 31-3 win over Ole Miss in Starkville on Nov. 26.

Another recruit was contacted by MSU coaches twice during a one-week period in November.
