Reports from the Patriot-News’ Sara Ganim indicate that there were clues as early as 1995 that Sandusky’s evil was already underway. @LivingCrimson has an excellent rundown of how Penn State and law enforcement either knew or should have known what was going on throughout the 1990’s.
Here’s another data point on the timeline. If he was abusing children as far back as 1987, and given his target age of 10-14 years old, there may be people born in 1974 to 1977 still carrying the pain of abuse he is alleged to have inflicted.
