Bama Tailback Dee Hart rips ACL, out for 2011 season (We’ll be ok, with VIDEO)

Alabama had hoped to add an element of electricity to the backfield this season, and the Saban – McElwain braintrust had hoped that incoming Freshman TB Dee Hart would fulfill that role.

Unfortunately, Hart has apparently injured an ACL during an off-season workout on Tuesday afternoon. He will likely require reconstructive surgery, and will not see the field in the 2011 season. Hart was the only back expected to see significant playing time who weighed less than 220 lbs. As a colleague of mine said earlier today, during some of the off-season workouts Hart was the only ball carrier with the potential to make the Bama defense look pedestrian.

But don’t worry, Bama fans.  We should be just fine as long as this guy stays healthy.

Too bad for Demetrius Hart. He'd be under close watch of physical therapists, and wouldn't play this season, but that's ok. When he's fully recovered, he could contribute greatly on the team.

The injury of Hart might affect the performance of the team. I hope he recovers immediately. This season will be hard for the team.
